A Son's First Hero, A Daughter's First Love

A Son's First Hero, A Daughter's First Love

happy fathers day

Celebrating Father's Day is tough these days - ever since my Dad went on to Heaven.

I'm so proud of my mom - aka Queen, Queen Bee! She has gathered herself up and lives her best life possible. My dad would want this - and I know it's because of Him that she has the strength to go on. Yet, the special celebrations and holidays throughout the year are tough. Memories and dreams and wishes all point back to the hardcore fact that my dad is no longer here on earth.

Life is hard. We all have our challenges and struggles and I'm not one to wallow in self-pity. I try with all my might to live my best life - just like my mom. I believe it's healthy to take hold of our feelings and peel away the outer shell we put on to guard ourselves. With that, I'm including a conversation I had with my mom this morning.

Wishing you peace and love!

Love this. Very well said. I have not lost my dad yet, but I teared up with understanding. Hugs. :)
